Bill Bolling Not the Tax Watchdog He Claims to Be

Bolling voted many times as a Supervisor and state Senator for tax and fee increases, and this author will chronicle them over the coming weeks.

In this 2004 vote, he voted to tax the recordation of oil and gas rights, and to tax business owners for the privilege of recording the fact that they leased property.
As if it is not enough expense to lease the property on which to put a billboard our other outdoor sign, but now the sign owner has to pay for the recording thereof.

SB399 – 2/2/04
Provides that the tax on the recordation of leases of oil and gas rights and of outdoor advertising signs owned by a person in the business of outdoor advertising shall equal $25

HB465 – 2/27/04
Allows local treasurers who provide electronic access to public records to charge a fee to cover operational expenses.

As if your personal property taxes, sales taxes, countless other taxes and "fees",(known in the real world as taxes) and state income taxes are not enough to cover the essential functions of government, Bolling thinks you should pay a fee as well to make government user friendly
.

Well, well......... looky here!
Bolling voted to tax your cell phone!!.......(below)
And if you own a business in Fairfax, look out; You are now being taxed for having a telecommunication system if you commited the sin of living in Herndon or Vienna, and Bolling voted to make it that way!

I was under the impression we already have too many personal property taxes levied upon us by big brother without adding more to punish us for using cell phones.
BTW, did you know that personal property taxes are unconstitutional?

But, then again, so was HB 3202, and that did not stop Bolling from supporting it either.

SB627 – 1/30/04 Local consumer utility tax. Allows the local governing body of the Towns of Vienna and Clifton to impose the local consumer utility tax on mobile phones by adopting a local ordinance on or after July 1, 2004

SB14 – 1/30/04 Allows the local governing body of the Town of Iron Gate to impose the local consumer utility tax on mobile phones by adopting a local ordinance on or after July 1, 2004. While such town ordinance remains in effect, Alleghany County shall not impose the tax within the limits of the town.

SB316 – 1/30/04 Allows the local governing bodies of the Towns of Herndon and Vienna to impose the local consumer utility tax on mobile phones by adopting a local ordinance on or after July 1, 2004

HB372 – 2/5/04 Authorizes the Towns of Herndon and Vienna to impose the local tax on the purchase of telecom service; prohibits Fairfax Co. from simultaneously imposing such a tax within such towns .

More to come, my friends!

Bill Bolling Still Refuses to Return Money From Sale of Abortion Pill, "Plan B"

Bolling still, under mounting pressure, refuses to return $38,000 in campaign cash from Barr Laboratories, the maker of the Morning After Pill.

Patrick Muldoon challenged him to do so, as have many of us who are rightly concerned by this association with the abortion industry, and the best Bolling can do is send out a surrogate ( Mark Obenshain), to justify being on the wrong side of the life issue in this case.

Bolling was unable to anwer honestly the challenge from Muldoon, and chose rather to launch misleading accusations of his own to deflect from the conservative message of Muldoon, and the questions swirling around Bolling's association with the abortion industry through Barr laboratories.

Bolling is second only to Mark Warner in receipts of Barr money, and I cannot believe he will not return the money, if it would give him more bargaining power on this make or break issue!

$38,000 is a drop in the bucket to Bolling's war chest, and yet he clings tightly to the blood money.
Considering our mothers all gave us the chance at life, is it really worth the price of the potter's field to snuggle up to Barr Labs?
Even Judas returned the thirty pieces of silver after realizing what it really was!

Is pride so important as to participate in the industry responsible for killing millions of innocent lives, simply to avoid having to admit one is wrong?

Patrick Muldoon Calls Out Bill Bolling on Abortion Issue

From Muldoon's website.............( you can go there through the widget to the right)

#21 I am the pro-Motherhood candidate.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you moms! We honor and cherish your love and selfless sacrifice. No matter what others may lay claim to, there is no question that Motherhood is the oldest AND greatest profession!

And in the interest of getting you all back to your Mother’s Day celebrations, I’ll go directly to the latest of my:

TOP 30 REASONS TO VOTE PATRICK MULDOON:

#30: I CAN WIN — both in Richmond and Statewide this Fall!
#29: I won’t run and hide from my support for Virginia Values on social issues.
#28: I will give you the choice to repeal the state income and corporate taxes.
#27: I will work to ROLL BACK spending and focus Virginia government on truly essential programs.
#26: I will put parents in charge of their children’s education by ensuring real parental choice.
#25: I will work to break the logjam on transportation by pushing for private-sector solutions.
#24: I will look out for Virginia jobs.
#23: Bill Bolling STILL hasn’t given the money back.
#22 I will stand uncompromisingly for Virginians’ rights.

#21 I am the pro-Motherhood candidate.

There can be no greater travesty than seeing a nation founded on Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness spend taxpayer money to extinguish life in the womb. A wave of shock is pulsing across our nation that Medicaid funding for abortions is emerging as the policy of the Obama Administration. Yet all too few Republicans realize that Medicaid funding for abortions has already been a tragic reality in the Commonwealth where the timeless principles of our Unalienable Rights originated. And part of the reason is Bill Bolling.

While he was a State Senator, Bill Bolling sponsored a bill related to Medicaid, to which Delegate Bob Marshall attached an amendment barring Medicaid money for abortion. When it returned to the State Senate, my opponent allowed his own bill to go down without a fight and, contrary to senate rules, without a recorded vote. All Bolling had to do as the bill’s patron to force his colleagues to go on record was to invoke the Senate rules. My opponent’s role in waving through this travesty remains the most astounding, puzzling and disappointing example of the go-along-to-get-along attitude that has characterized his tenure in the Kaine/Bolling Administration.

Let me be unequivocal and clear: as Lieutenant Governor, I will fight to end the travesty of Medicaid funding for abortion. I will work to restrict it in every way possible and will work toward the day when Roe v. Wade and the “right” to abortion are consigned to the dustbin of history.

You know – and I know – that motherhood and the Unalienable Right to Life are too precious to compromise them in any way.

Again, I remain impressed by Muldoon's unapologetic stance on moral issues, and his lack of fear of putting them front and center.

I believe another reason to nominate him over Bolling is that Muldoon will obviously not allow the RNC to set Republican policy direction in Virginia, as Bolling and McDonnell already are.

I am delighted to hear Mr. Muldoon honoring mothers by honoring the life into which they brought every single one of us, not giving in to the blowing wind of the times, when they could have aborted us, and giving us all the same chance at life that Mr. Bolling's record makes painfully clear is little more than a political issue to him. (Medicaid, Barr Labs, the list goes on)

I am so weary of nuanced, unspecific go-along to get along republicans like Bolling, that I cannot stand to even hear them speak anymore.

When they do, you can hear the pre-packaged marketing ploys in their speeches, designed to make us associate them with conservatism without ever giving any specifics as to how they have behaved as such, or how they plan to empower us to regain our lost freedom.

Muldoon is a refreshing breath of freedom-loving air in the stale cesspool of the Virginia political winds.

Untruthful Bolling Calls Muldoon Liar to Distract From his Record

Bill Bolling at a recent Bloggers event accused Patrick Muldoon of lying about his record, in regard to Bill's support of HB 2035, the mandatory HPV vaccinations for all Virginia girls 12 years and older.

Bill's own website lists this bill as one of his legislative accomplishments in this statement:
"Together, we worked to pass important legislation that will provide economic development opportunities for localities with high unemployment, crack down on gang violence, expand the death penalty by repealing the so called triggerman rule, improve the health of women and children, protect children from online dangers, increase benefits for law enforcement officers and reach out to the changing face of Virginia."

"I strongly encourage the Governor to sign this legislation into law without amendment. By doing so, we will make significant strides toward building a better Virginia," added Bolling.

• HB 2035 - Hamilton - Human papillomavirus vaccine; added as required vaccination with parental opt-out;
http://www.billbolling.com/?page=news&view=000000409

Now a little research reveals that HB 2035 had an opt-out rather than an opt-in, and only allowing the opt-out to this intrusive vaccine for religious or health reasons.

Who is lying here, Bill??

In an ironic twist of fate that cannot make Bolling too happy, the Family Research Council condemns this legislation in it's mandatory form, though the Family Foundation of Virginia gives Bolling a 100% rating.
http://www.frc.org/get.cfm?i=IF07B01

I am told by former associates of the FF that these ratings, sadly, are the result of the compilation of specific votes on specific bills that give what at times can be the misimpression of perfection on family issues, resulting in a high rating that may or may not be deserved.
Bolling loves to cite his rating from the FF as proof of his pro-family credentials, but the facts suggest otherwise.

For instance, I am told Family Foundation supported the admitted pro-abort Jim Gilmore last year over the 100% pro-life Marshall, for the misguided reason that he had a "better chance to win".
Gilmore's 35% of the vote in the general election speaks to the wisdom of such reasoning.

But I digress....
Ask yourself why all of a sudden is this vaccine so critical?
Merck is the maker of Gardisil, the HPV drug that Merck is pushing in a new nationwide effort to market it as a critical health issue.

Bolling and others have received contributions from Merck for their efforts to push legislation making this a required vaccination.
The National Lieutenant Governors Association, of which Bolling is chairman, has made Merck's efforts a top legislative priority.

Merck has aggressively launched an effort to convince the States to make this vaccine mandatory for schoolgirls, but only Virginia has so far required it for entry into school.
This excerpt from the NYT is damning, and I have provided the link to the entire story.....
( the red text below is my addition)

Persuading the Governments

In country after country, Merck and Glaxo also appealed to politicians. Vaccines, unlike antibiotics, tend to be recommended or mandated by governments. “We support(translated campaign donations) policy leaders and try to educate legislators,” Dr. Haupt said.

In the United States, 41 states have passed or begun considering legislation on cervical cancer, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures, and 24 have considered proposals to mandate the vaccine for girls, generally in middle school.

Many bills, like ones passed in Colorado, New Jersey and New York, allocate more money for HPV and cervical cancer education or to promote the vaccine. Others, like proposals in Iowa and Louisiana, require insurers to cover it.( government meddling in free enterprise)

The only state to pass a bill requiring the vaccine for school entry is Virginia; it takes effect in October, after school begins, so will first apply in 2009.

(HB 2035 applies to ALL girls public, private, or homeschool)

Merck has a growing economic interest in Virginia. In December 2006, Merck announced it would invest $57 million to expand its Elkton, Va., plant to make Gardasil, helped by a $700,000 grant from a state economic development agency that is part of the executive branch. Two months later, Gov. Tim Kaine, who has been mentioned as a possible Democratic vice presidential candidate, signed legislation requiring Gardasil for schoolgirls. Four months after that, Merck pledged to invest $193 million more in the plant to make drugs and vaccines, helped by a state grant of $1.5 million.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/20/health/policy/20vaccine.html?pagewanted=3&n=Top/News/Business/Companies/GlaxoSmithKline%20PLC.&_r=1

Bolling requested the taxpayer funds referenced in the statement above highlighted in blue text.
Here is an excerpt from his own press releases:

January 23, 2007: Lieutenant Governor Bolling and Secretary Tavenner Highlight Women's and Children's Health Inititiaves - Bolling and Tavenner support childhood obesity study, funding for cervical cancer vaccinations and expanded access to prenatal care

"Lieutenant Governor Bolling joined Secretary Tavenner in supporting of the following women's and children's health care legislation…

- Funding for Human Palillomavirus (HPV) Vaccinations. - Governor's Budget Amendment - Adds $1.4 million GF to supply local health departments with the HPV vaccine for girls who are ineligible for the federally-funded Vaccines for Children for Children Program and who are not expected to receive the vaccine from private health insurance."

That is called TAXPAYER FUNDED MANDATORY HPV VACCINES!!!

Bolling is also mentioned as leader in Merck's fight to get this legislation;

But, as in many states where cervical cancer legislation has been considered, there have been ties between drug makers and members of government. In 2006, one of Merck’s newly hired Virginia lobbyists was Sandra D. Bowen, who had spent years as Virginia’s secretary of administration. And Bill Bolling, the state’s lieutenant governor, became an outspoken participant in the “Ending Cervical Cancer in Our Lifetime” campaign, a program started in 2006 by the National Lieutenant Governors Association(Bolling is the Chairman) and financed largely by Merck and Glaxo.

“This is an important public health issue,” said Randy Marcus, Mr. Bolling’s spokesman.http://www.corpwatch.org/article.php?id=15166

In stark contrast to Mr. Marcus' statement, this is NOT a public health issue.
Cervical cancer can only be contracted through sexual activity, therefore by definition, it is absolutely avoidable through sexual abstinence until marriage.

If both spouses make the choice to remain abstinent until marriage, it is almost impossible to contract cervical cancer.
Far from being an epidemic concern, this whole issue is the apparent result of a slick marketing campaign by an unscrupulous drug company, and the active participation by their political enablers in exchange for financial compensation, resulting in the loss of the rights of parents to choose the very best for our daughters, and it is a slap in the face to every freedom loving Virginian who ever trusted Bill Bolling with the protection of our Constitution which he took an OATH to uphold upon taking office.

In summary, it is clear that it is Bolling misrepresenting the truth, not Muldoon, and the arrogance of a man who will lie outright, knowing that the facts exist to prove him to be lying is breathtaking.
Here we have yet another instance of both major parties competing to see which one can steal our freedom the fastest, and still get us to vote for them in November.
And the Republicans wonders why they cannot win elections any more!!
The dem's have the luxury of having a base that cheers at the loss of freedom, and therefore are not offended at such.

Bill has apparently sold his principles for a few campaign dollars, and if we allow ourselves to be treated like this by those who claim to represent us, the end result of our political harlotry will be more of such treatment by the same individuals.

The Republican Party has a unique opportunity to present a stark conrast of bold colors, not pale pastels, to quote Reagan, to a Marxist regime in Washington, but we will have to work hard to overcome the reputation of Socialism we earned under the Bush regime.

The fact is, we did push a nearly Socialist agenda under Bush, and therefore the voters tend to disbelieve when we continue to profess to be the party of smaller and less government, when in reality we continue to advance the agenda of Merck far more that of Reagan.

This is why, among several other reasons, I am supporting Patrick Muldoon for L. Gov.
Even if Bolling's assertion that Muldoon can't win a general election is true,(remember Gilmore) then I would rather take that chance than to put my stamp of approval on the agenda of Bolling and Merck, at the expense of my rights to the welfare of my family.

Let the Democrats carry that standard.
As for me, I'll go with Reagan.

HPV Will Haunt Bill Bolling

IN this era of Marxist-Leninist/ Humanist worldview control of our political system, one would expect the Republican party to make at least an honest effort to stand against it in defense of American freedom and liberty.
Some, I am sure have tried action; Most, only rhetoric.

Bill Bolling has launched lofty rhetoric, but very little action to combat these forces at work in our state.
In some areas, he has actually led in the wrong direction, and one of those areas that concern me greatly as an American dad is the HPV vaccine.

Now some of this info is going to be very sensitive, so if you are a young'un, tune out now

Bill supported and campaigned for a bill that would force mandatory HPV vaccines on ALL Virginia girls age 12 and older.
It is ostensibly for the vaccination against cervical cancer, a very uncommon form of cancer.
This intrusive vaccine is administered in three shots, and has been documented to have killed some of the recipients.

The maker of this drug(Gardisil), Merck, has lobbied heavily among legislators all over the country, trying to start a panic epidemic to lead folks to believe this drug is an absolute necessity.

This is a case of slick marketing of a dangerous drug by an unscrupulous company, and Bill Bolling has been the leader of this effort statewide to promote it's sale and use, and the MANDATORY administering of this drug to Virginia's underage citizens, even against the wishes of their parents.

He has received appx. 6-7,000 for his efforts from Merck.
The National Lieutenant Governor's association where Bill is a prominent leader is pushing this drug very hard at Merck's request, in exchange for donations from Merck.

Google HPV to read the chilling story of how a drug company created a "crisis", and used politicians like Bolling to MANDATE their drug's use, whether parents agreed or not!!!

It infuriates me to be told by Mr Bolling that he knows better than I what the health needs of my daughter may be, and to have it insinuated that she would be sleeping around at the age of twelve, as sexual promiscuity is the ONLY way for cervical cancer to be contracted.

Government is out of control, folks, and I will not relenquish responsibility for my family to government, and I certainly will not be told by government that my children are government property, and that I must do as they say in all things pertaining to them.

If you are not offended by this heinous assault on parental rights, and the welfare of your kids by arrogant self-absorbed politicians, lacking principles beyond their own reelection and financial interests, then nothing I say will convince you, and I hope you enjoy it when they come to steal your kids, when you don't allow them to assault your children under medical pretexts.

This blatant assault on the constitutional rights of free citizens and their children nationwide, led by arrogant politicians like Bill Bolling, is representative of the downfall of the Republican party nationwide, in regard to the need to stand strong against the slavery of the citizens by an elite few in government determined to establish a Marxist utopia here in the States.

Now I do not believe Bolling is thinking along those lines, but his actions show at the very least a blatant disregard for parental rights and the constitution, and regardless of his motivation, the result of his actions will be devastating to freedom and liberty, and to the health and welfare of your kids, all in the name of "healthcare".
What an irony!

He is already suffering politically for these actions, having lost some battles in four unit mass meetings he never thought he would lose, and I fondly hope this issue will continue to gain steam and result in his defeat at the Republican convention this spring.

The Bible tell us that he who rolls a stone will have it return on his own head.........

More Bolling/ Guidebooks

Here is a copy of the email I sent to Bill about the issue in my previous post, and his response;
Let me make it clear that far from being upset that they sent the guidebooks back, I applaud the staffer who did it, and am very upset that Bill and Randy appear to have thrown her under the bus to avoid taking heat from the Homo's.
I would welcome the heat as a badge of honor if it were me.
Anyway, here goes.

Dear Bill;
I am deeply saddened if indeed it is true what the ABC News story says, which I understand is questionable.
http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story?id=5716664&page=1

I would hope sincerely that I have misunderstood or been misled by ABC News.
If true, Sir, then I must tell you as a faithful supporter of yours since the day Senator Newman brought you to the Campbell County unit meeting years ago to introduce you to us, that I am terribly disappointed that you would apologize for the courageous and wonderful actions of my friend Melissa in the turning down of the materials that are so offensive to your conservative and moral supporters.

You, Sir, are not responsible for, or beholden to anyone except your supporters in Virginia and your conscience before your God.

I was extremely unhappy with your support of Gov. Gilmore over a far more principled Del. Marshall, but was willing to live and let live there, as I understood the aspirations for your own political future, and remained a supporter, as I told you at a Bedford County fundraiser.

This however, if true, is enough to make me realize that my conscience and yours are apparently far enough apart that we will find it necessary to part political paths.
It is so terribly disheartening to see Republican after Republican go down the sellout path and contribute to the destruction of the Republican party already well underway by the Bush bureaucracy.

Bill, you have unbelievable potential for the future, and I hate to see it wasted in the flames of establishment republican self destruction.
Maybe it is hard to see it happening inside Richmond, I don't know, but rest assured we can see it out here in the real world.
Lobbyists, special interests, and political consultants don't win elections, or put you in office.
We do!!

It is time for Republicans who refuse to act like it to become Democrats or reform themselves.
There is no room in our party for those who would seek to destroy it whether it be knowingly or not.
It is self destructive to attempt to lead an entire state full of Republicans, and behave in such a fashion as to destroy the very entity you wish to lead.

I trust you will understand that I mean no disrespect, I only wish to convey my true feelings on this matter without any typical political spin and nuance on my words.

Sir, we cannot and must not allow our party to become so watered down by political correctness that we cease to offer the voters the very principled and constitutional stance on the issues that have set us apart from the Dem's since the days of Reagan.

We must not only say these things during election cycles, but really believe them, and govern based upon them as did Reagan.

His model is effective not because it wins elections, but wins elections because it is effective, and polling reported by Newt shows that the vast majority of Americans agree with us on almost all the major issues of our time.
Why then must we pander to interest groups who will never support you, or to a news media that will NEVER support you as long as you govern as you say you believe?

Please Bill, don't be one of these waffling politicians who have gained the disgust of the people to the extent of the lowest approval ratings in the considerable history of our Congress,
but always stand firm on the principles you KNOW to be true and right.

If I am wrong on my interpretation of this matter, or the details surrounding it, please accept my truly humble and sincere apology for putting you through this.
But if I am right, please recognize it, and understand that I simply wish the best for all of us, our party and your own political future if you govern with the same principles upon which you have always campaigned, and most of all for the well-being of our Constitutional Republic.

I remain your humble and faithful servant,
Tim Boyer

His response;

Tim:

Thanks for your email. We just got back in from Minneapolis and I noticed that I have about a dozen emails on this subject. I had not seen the ABC news story, but it is not accurate. I have never told anyone that I disagreed with staff’s decision to cancel the initial guidebook order. When the controversy arose my Chief of Staff issued a statement clarifying that it was a staff decision, that I was not aware of the decision and that I had not seen the guidebooks. (Interestingly, I still have not seen the guidebooks) We also expressed regret that the controversy had occurred on the eve of the RNC and we did offer to reimburse the publisher for any costs he had incurred in processing the initial order, which we felt contractually obligated to do. (Fortunately, there were no such costs.) Most of the media outlets reported our response accurately, but ABC obviously read more into it than was intended. Nonetheless, I do appreciate your taking time to write and ask about it, rather than just assuming that the ABC news report was accurate. I wish more people did that. As you know, I have long been a consistent friend and supporter of conservative family values in Virginia, and I assure you that will not change.

Bill.

Fine, it all sounds so innocent; But I don't really care who ordered the books or canceled the order. Frankly, I think the one who did the right thing here was the staffer who returned the garbage.Notice above Bill does not dispute anything in his C-o-S's statement below.

Below is a statement from Bill's chief of staff, and this is the only public statement I can find from anyone representing Bolling.

If this is the only public statement issued, would I not be the fool if I take private assurances when the campaign cannot even take a stand publicly on a principled issue rather than throwing the staffer under the bus to avoid a"controversy'?

Frankly, who cares what the Homosexual community thinks of you anyway? Their lifestyle is the perverted one, not ours, and I am darned if their opinion of me really bothers me at all, and I wish Bill felt the same way.

Read Randy's statement and I think you would have to agree with me that Bill's email to me was nice, friendly, but politically motivated, misleading, and meaningless. I would be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, however, if he would issue a public statement approving the decision to send back the guidebooks, regardless of what Randy said below.

"Here is the background on the guidebooks situation. The guidebooks had not been ordered by the Virginia delegation to the Republican National Convention. The guidebooks had been ordered by our campaign and were going to be presented as a gift to Virginia delegates from the Lieutenant Governor. After receiving and reviewing a sample of the guidebook a staff member decided to cancel the order and order a different guidebook. The Lieutenant Governor was not aware of the decision. Frankly, the Lieutenant Governor has no problem with the guidebook and it would have made no difference to him.

We are sorry that this has occurred and wish it had not happened. We have contacted the publisher of the guidebook and extended an apology for the cancellation of the order. We have also agreed to reimburse the publisher for any expenses they incurred as a result of the cancellation. "

Really?

Bolling Knuckles Under to Fear of Homosexual Community

Click here to read the disgusting story of Bill Bolling's demonstration of the lack of understanding of whom to be afraid.

I do not understand why Bill thinks there is any reason to placate the homosexual community.
According to unbiased studies without an agenda to push, homosexuals make up appx. 1 % of the population.
If Bill thinks that he needs to fear a loud and noisy 1 percent over an angry conservative base, then he has obviously been in Richmond too long.

He is even crazier if he thinks there is any chance the Homo's will be of any political value to him.
They will start voting Republican about the time the Clintons decide to come clean on Whitewater.

I asked Bill and his Chief of Staff both about this issue and received two different irreconcilable answers, to which the Chief backpedaled when I informed him that his answer did not match Bill's.

More to come on that.........oh yeah, if you want to see for yourself, do a little digging.

Bill Bolling Lurching to the Left

For those of you who believe that Bill Bolling is God's gift to conservatism, here are a few facts for you to chew on and maybe do a little independent research.

Abusive Driver fees

Bill patroned a bill as Senator that would enact retroactive driver fees to Virginians.

Constitutional Issues
Bill supported HB 3202 (regional transportation authorities), unelected people imposing taxes upon citizenry, which was deemed unconstitutional by Virginia Supreme Court in a 7-0 decision. Anybody remember the Boston Tea Party and the Taxation without Representation Bill?
He failed to uphold his constitutional oath with his support of this bill.

HPV Vaccine
Bill supported and even made as a part of his legislative agenda giving 12 year old girls a vaccination that some girls have died from taking. This was to be a mandatory vaccination for all public and private school girls. It was fought in the house and now is a opt-out. Even the opt-out is bad as parents don’t even have to sign their girls up for it, and the girls can thus not even show it to their parents and it becomes a peer pressure issue. Bolling receives contributions from the maker of Gardisil, the HPV vaccination, Merck Pharmaceuticals.
This is an infringement on parental rights and limited government.

Plan B- Morning-After Pill
Bill is a solicitor of
political contributions from Barr Labs, maker of the morning after pill . He is the second highest recipient of Barr Labs money, second only to Mark Warner. Every political or candidate committee of his receives money, including Building a Better Virginia PAC, Bolling Senate Campaign Committee, Bolling Inaugural Committee, Bolling for Lt. Governor Committee all received contributions totaling to over $38,000. Even after the 2008 convention where such a big deal was made over Barr Labs he still received money.

Medicaid/ Prolife
In 2005 Bill Bolling patroned a bill that dealt with Medicaid. The bill passed the Senate and went onto the House. While in the House, Bob Marshall attached an amendment onto the bill that would prohibit any Medicaid money from being used in an abortion. It passed the House and went back to the Senate. It was towards the end of session and Bolling allowed his bill to be passed over for the day for three consecutive days. The last day of session they sent the bill back to Ed. & Health so it was effectively killed as a bill. Why did Bolling do this with his own bill he fought to get through the Senate and through the House, but let it die once there was a pro-life amendment attached to it?

Russ Potts
Bolling, as Lt. Governor, broke the campaign promise he made while running for LG, to get rid of Russ Potts as Chair of the Ed. & Health committee where Potts kills all pro-life legislation. So for two years as LG he allowed very good pro-life legislation to be killed in Pott's Senate Committee after it successfully passed the House . All this was with a Republican majority in the Senate and House.
Don't tell me that with Republican majorities in both Houses that Bill could not have gotten this done if he had really wanted to.

Lack of Proactive Leadership
As LG, Bolling has not once used his leadership to advance any pro-life legislation other than the 20-20 tie in 2008 to defund planned parenthood. One could make the case that only a fool would not have done what he did given the circumstances, but what has he done on his own to advance pro-life legislation that he could have put as a part of his legislative agenda....NOTHING. Instead of using his leadership to advance the issues in the pro-life community he has campaigned around the state to promote 12 year old girls getting a dangerous vaccination for a sexually transmitted disease while studies show that it doesn’t even work effectively for that age group;
Add to that the fact he takes money from the maker of the drug company.

You do the political math
"Government is not the solution to our problem.Government is the problem."
Ronald Reagan, first Inaugural Address, January 20, 1981
